The Aftermath

So the aftermath of the blizzard left Flagstaff with some BEAUTIFUL landscape opportunities. Snow is really hard to capture because of the white and light. Here are a few pictures I caught off of Lake Mary.

Flagstaff's Winter Storm

So, first time actually being involved in snow..well, maybe not involved more like ENGULFED! I grabbed my camera and set out to photograph. Took some pictures while the blizzard was happening-and let me mentioned that all these photos were taken out of the window.

enjoy!

NAU volleyball

So this was my first time shooting volleyball-I think I did pretty good. The last shoot with my Nikon D50 and a 70-200 2.8 lens. I recently just bought a new camera the Nikon D300s.

Soccer at NAU on 10-11-09

I really enjoy shooting sports, so I thought I would give soccer a try. The game was at noon so the lighting was a bit harsh. You can find the rest of the photos published on http://jackcentral.com/sports/2009/10/lumberjacks-take-first-conference-victory-2/

Flagstaff is currently seeing a decrease in the colors of the leaves changing so I covered the story for the Lumberjack. I will upload more photos of my own for fun that I shot soon.

I know the shadows are a bit distracting- my first photo I took for the Lumberjack, I was nervous and should have focused more on those distracting features.

NAU football 9_26_09

Here are a few photos I took at the NAU football game on Sept. 26- I think they turned out pretty good! I love shooting football or I guess sports all together. These were shot with my 70-300mm 4.5-5.6 lens at about 125 inside our Dome and lightened up on Adobe CS4

Portrait

Bryan Kinkade, a portrait of him during NAU's bonfire- I love the catch light though the photo could be a bit sharper.

I shot this with my 50mm at about F4 and shutter speed 10 and with a flash.

NAU bonfire

It was my first time shooting at night so I wasn't expecting too much from it. I think these didn't turn out so bad and I love the silhouettes!

Siren Ghost Town

Found this ghost town driving back from New Mexico off the side of the road. It said Do Not Enter, but what's the fun in that?
